- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Dr Greg Reynolds graduated from the University of Otago Dental School in 1979, and then embarked
on several years’ practice in Zimbabwe, South Africa and London, before returning to New Zealand.
Having developed a personal interest in sleep-disordered breathing, Dr Reynolds’ career in sleep
medicine began at the Sleep Disorders Center in Shreveport, at Louisiana State University in 2000. He
became the first graduate of the University of Sydney Sleep Medicine Masters program in 2006, as
well as completing a research MMedSc at University of Otago. His theses on oral appliance treatment
provided the foundation for his experience in the field of dental sleep medicine, Somnodontics™ and
the ongoing development of dental splints for sleep-disordered breathing.
Greg is a consultant at the NZ Respiratory & Sleep Institute in Auckland and has convened several
courses on ‘dental sleep medicine’ for the Australasian Sleep Association. His Somnodontics practice is
limited to this evolving field.
